WELCOME TO

Empowering Muslim women to build financial confidence, independence, & shariah based wealth.
Velvet Balance is a space dedicated to helping Muslim women learn, plan, and grow in every stage of their financial journey — from early habits and pre-marriage conversations to saving, investing, retirement, and inheritance planning.
We believe financial independence is an essential part of dignity and wellbeing. Too many Muslim women are underserved in financial education and wealth-building spaces, leaving them vulnerable in times of marriage breakdown, widowhood, or financial hardship. We want to change that.
Everything we teach is rooted in Shariah-compliant, ethical principles — honouring Islamic values of wealth, rizq, responsibility, and charity. Our goal is to help women build wealth with integrity, confidence, and purpose, creating futures that uplift not only themselves but their families and communities.
Studies consistently show that women give more in charity. When Muslim women build wealth, the entire ummah benefits.
Velvet Balance exists to support that journey — with guidance, digital tools, education, and a community that champions your independence.

While many platforms focus only on education, Velvet Balance bridges the gap between understanding and action — helping you navigate real investment opportunities with clarity and confidence.
Our core areas of focus:
• Wealth Foundations - Discipline, planning, and financial clarity
• ETFs & Funds - Simple, structured investing for long-term growth
• Property Investment - Building wealth through strategic property ownership
We help you understand your options — and then take the next step with confidence.

What Our Clients Say
Hear from the women who’ve walked this journey with us. These stories reflect real experiences, real growth, and the confidence that comes from learning, planning, and building with intention.
Subhanallah, there are powerful reminders for intentions with regards to earning and spending money, the tie between shariah and understanding wealth is truly a valuable resource Overall, I feel this wealth framework is a gift for all Muslim women, as it offers important reminders and tools for understanding and engaging with wealth.
This guide feels like it’s written for Muslim women who want clarity around money without pressure or judgement. It helped me see financial agency as part of dignity and responsibility, not something that conflicts with faith. What stood out most is how calm and human it feels; it explains, reassures, and invites reflection, rather than telling you what to do.
What sets this guide apart from other financial resources is its tone and intention. It doesn’t push products, timelines, or fear. Instead, it creates space for understanding, reflection, and choice, which makes it feel trustworthy and humane rather than transactional.
This is a beautiful guide that gently empowers Muslim women to take responsibility and agency over their financial health—something many of us remain unaware of or postpone until a critical moment, when little can be done. It helped me understand money dynamics that once felt intimidating, yet after reading this, they felt approachable and grounding. I came to realize that financial knowledge is something we, as Muslim women, are meant to seek, understand, and put into practice—with both full rights and full responsibility.
Dr. Zaheera also shares her personal journey and wins through short, story-like reflections that add depth, perspective, and immense inspiration. We truly need to hear from more Muslim women who are building wealth in their own ways, creating circles of barakah, and uplifting one another.
We see far too many Muslim women in helpless or vulnerable positions, when in reality there is so much we can do through small, consistent steps. This is what we learn from this guide; to remove the fear, to move ahead with intention, clarity and patience. Reading this guide brought me a deep sense of peace—something I didn’t even realize I was seeking. This is where I begin: to feel empowered, reclaim my self-respect, and step into a more confident life, Insha’Allah.

The gentle reminder in the note was such an important message for us as women, we are not to perfect everything, which is something that is expected of many. I feel this is not only a framework for understanding wealth bur Dr. Zaheera constantly offers gentle reminders that feel therapeutic.
